2008 Dispatch replacement power window master unit

Post by Courier77 »

Hi folks!

I'm trying to replace my electric window switch unit as my driver side window switch is playing up I've now had 2 replacement units that just don't do anything, these are 13pin I think, with mirror adjustment on, my original unit only has 6pin and the window switches. I cannot find any new units with only 6 pins and I thought it wouldn't make any difference about the pins as the connector fits the 13 pin. Can someone please help.
Cheers

They do make a difference as you have found out. The unit has to be able to interface with the rest of the vehicle as it uses CAN multiplexing. If you have the incorrect unit, the data streams will not be understood and things won't work or the wiring connections will be different. You must replace the unit with the correct one. The ones with 13 pins have are for different vehicles with different functionality.

If you don't have your original part number and need the correct PSA part, we do ask for a membership upgrade, as PSA charge us for this data - but it will cover you for future parts requests for up to 2 years.

If this is something that would be of benefit to you, just follow the links then pop your VIN up:

I ordered one of these about 6 months ago for an Expert (same as Dispatch) & it came wrong from PSA twice even though ordered to the VIN, They had to email parts technical with pictures & numbers off the original unit to eventually get the right one.
