Thanks Marc for your reply.
I agree about sourcing the S1279 module from a UK-based diagnostics company but could you recommend some by name .
I have great faith in ED but they don't supply them now so any other suggestions welcomed.

They're all cloned units, so try one of these - any issues and you can always return it:

Re: New to Diagbox, what Windows version?
I purchased a s1279 module from your ebay suppliers list. After receiving it and connected it between my Lexia3 and boxer3 OBD I tried to perform a global scan.
The VIN number was displayed and it communicated only with BSI, Engine and ABS ECUs, BUT didn't with any ECUs on the CAN network. This implied a fault on the CAN network in the engine ECU but as the Boxer is not displaying any faults, i.e. no warning lights on the dashboard, the CAN network is 100% checked and also is running properly on the vehicle.
This was initially performed using Diagbox v9.91 and repeated with v7.57 giving the same result. This suggests the S1279 module is faulty and I will return.
I have phoned another supplier and he says the S1279s are produced from the same source which brings me to ask have any forum members experienced similar and have any advice to solve this or recommended S2179 supplier?
Thanks in anticipation

Re: New to Diagbox, what Windows version?
I'm trying to help a neighbour diagnose a 2010 Expert Teepe van. When I try connection Diagbox, it won't read the VIN. If I enter the VIN and DAM manually, I get the error "exit application when changing vehicles".
I have seen the suggestion that this is probably a hardware connection issue. I have checked, and I can communicte with my car (308 2015). So I'm wondering if I need the extra van interface S.1279? I have seen a comment elsewhere that I don't, but I don't know if that is correct.
...or any other suggestions as to the problem?
The van's VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Before you wite off the S1279 module, you need to ensure your VCI interface is a full chip version. Sub-standard or cut down versions of the VCIs that are sold around the £50 mark may be cut down versions and cheaper because they don't have the components needed for full CAN vehicles.

@Tom309: The S1279 module was really only needed for those collaborative vehicles (Fiat, Ford, Toyota) of which the Expert III / Jumper / Jumpy / Dispatch III, Aygo and Nemo are / were part of (depending on year of manufacture and when the collaborations ended).
