Correct alloy wheel bolts?

Hi all.

I have a 2000(X) Citroen Berlingo based Romahome Duo micro camper. Now bear with me cos I don't think I'm posting in the wrong area cos.................

at some point in the past, a previous owner has fitted 14" Peugeot alloy wheels to it, at least I presume they're Peugeot due to the "lion" centre caps.
I've had it for about 5 years now and done quite few thousand trouble free miles but the other day, coming home and getting a vibration from the F/N /S, I discovered to my horror that the wheel bolts were loose and one was missing all together!!! :shock: Luckily, no damage appears to have been done with zero "ovalizing" of the wheel holes but getting a replacement bolt is proving difficult.
The ones on have a 19mm head, a large captive washer (supposedly to clamp the alloy flat face) then a 19mm shank to a 60 deg taper down to a M12 thread.
Now, I would have expected that the captive washer should clamp the alloy face but in actual fact, it seems to me that the 60 deg taper is doing all the clamping on the countersink in the wheel holes leaving the captive washer presumably spinning behind the bolt head which strikes me as odd. Why put the washer there?
So, could anybody please advise which bolts I should get? The last ebay 19mm bolts came with 17mm heads so I got refunded!
I could, if it helps, take photos of the existing bolts and wheels?

Hi and welcome to FCF. Take pictures of the alloys that show the markings on the casting inside the wheel. There will be more than one set of cast in sets of markings. This info will give precise details of the alloys. Take pictures of a bolt and, also, a few at different angles to get the exact shape of the bolt holes in wheel. pop them up and we will have a thorough look. cheers

The type of bolt you are describing are the dual bolts that are normally used on alloy wheels but also double up as the bolts for a spare steel wheel where it gets held on by the taper & the captive washers are loose.

Morning chaps. Suns up so I've taken some photos. Ignore the Citroen centre cap badge, they're ebay badges over the Peugeot lion.

I've also got 5 photos of the casting marks on the back of each spoke but TBH, they're very indistinct so I haven't included them for the mo'. If you think it will help, please just shout me.

Hi again. The wheels are Peugeot/Citroen, most likely from a 306 Dturbo or similar. They do use the flat washer alloy bolts. 19mm headed bolts are available on Ebay as well as the 17mm ones. A visit to a breakers or, dare I say it, a Peugeot/Citroen dealer might produce one bolt across the counter and at least you could compare it to one of your bolts. Hope that helps and remember what Wheeler said about the taper also being used for steel spare wheels. Hope that helps. Cheers.

They look the same as on my ex 406 with alloys. The steel spare even had a sticker saying not to worry about the washer flapping around

It gets worse!
I've been emailing with wheelpartsdirect and had a lot of help from James. I was about to order this morning when I thought I'd check the other front wheel (F/O/S) and guess what............ THREE different bolts!!!!!
The photo clearly shows the differences but I'm leaning toward bolt B because the shaft diameter under the head is small enough to allow the bolt to pass through the wheel hole properly which in turn means that the flat washer seats properly and the end of the bolt comes flush with the back face of the hub so at least ALL the threads in the hub are being used. Unfortunately, James doesn't stock non shouldered bolts as in "B".

At the risk of stating the bl**din' obvious, don't forget that these are Peugeot wheels on a Citroen Berlingo.

Ok, so originally, these were steel wheels as shown with 2 types of wheel bolt available:

Part: 540545 (no longer available) 12x125-53
or part: 510535 Which is available. Diameter 12 x 125 -52.8 FXX Black.
