Citroen c5 2.0 hdi cutting out

Post by Bill c5 »

Hi Guys

my c5 2.0 hdi 2009 keeps cutting out, comes up with fault code P0215, replaced the fuel regulator as rail pressure was also to high but it still keeps cutting out, wait a few minutes and restarts, also ESP fault has started coming on dash, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Bill

Hi Bill. There is a thread for this back in 2012. use the "search this topic" bar at the top of the page until someone (more knowledgeable) gets back to you. use "fault code P0215" in the search bar. cheers

Given that you replaced the fuel rail sensor, it's possibly the fuel pump relay.

You need to check the fuel pump is coming on. Is the relay on the fusebox clicking on? Can you start it with some starter spray?

P0336 and 337 indicate crankshaft pos sensor. Had same simptoms, changed that cheap sensor (cca. 15 EUR) and problem gone. Also check battery health. They cause all sorts of fake alarms.
