Dash-top display panel.

Post by kirkbyman »

Hi, newby visit,I retired to Spain 5 years ago, just picked up a 2001 2:0 hdi C5, just noticed as it's dark that the display showing time/date is illuminated even with the central locking on.. I've no handbook to check if it's a settings issue, Greatly appreciate any advice... Ian.

This is one of the common side effects of an incorrectly fitted aftermarket stereo. Can you disconnect it ?

There will be 2 plugs going into the radio, disconnect both of them & switch the ignition off & lock the car, wait 3 minutes & unlock the car & check if the fault has corrected itself. If it has you need to get the stereo fitted properly. If the fault is still there carry out a BSI reset.
