So - after pumping the diesel out - the car didnt start.... the Battery was dead. Now I know why the car went into Economic mode as soon as the ignition was turned on.
As soon as the starter was on, the voltage dropped down to 10 even if the
And guess what!
After putting in a new battery I could program the gearbox.
Automatic gears now work!
So we wont be scrapping it - not yet at least =)
The DPF is 100% full and the fault code for DPF beeing full with adblue is permanent. So that needs addressing.
Citroen calls this gearbox CFC300P, by the way.
C5 only 1, 3, and 5 gears work, in both manual/auto

That is GREAT news. As the C series Citroens have a lot of electronics a failing battery can cause all sorts of strange problems.

You don't mention if you followed this when trying to program??wheeler wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021, 19:39 Definitely worth trying a gear & clutch position re programming.[When doing it though its very important to have good battery support as it can sap quite a bit of power doing it. Have another running car connected via jump leads, If the voltage of the battery drops too low the procedure can fail.
