Hi Paul - you are probably right with the version number - I just remember the sales chap telling me that I had a very old version and now it has been brought up to date. I guess an annual check on the Citroen website will show if I need to update again but hopefully this will last a while.
Thanks again for your help. It always helps to describe the problem with some background understanding of the issue!

You don't need to worry about any further firmware updates. The systems manufactured by Magneti Marelli (RT6/eMyWay and all the SMEG variations) are no longer fitted to PSA vehicles and are therefore not supported by Magneti Marelli for firmware upgrades.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
