DS3 Door bolts

Post by utdminiman »

Hi Everyone,

This is a bit of an odd one...

Took my 2011 DS3 in for its walnut blasting yesterday and the guys at the garage kindly pointed out I was missing two bolts from the locking mechanism on my drivers side door making it rattle!

Does anyone have a part number or spec for these bolts. I know they're T30 torx but that's about it for now.

I haven't had the chance to get them out the passenger side door to measure yet but if any knows where I can find some spares that'd be great haha.

Thanks as always!

A photo of the specific bolts will help and save time.

Hi Marc,

Sorry probs should've thought of that.

Don't have the car on me at the moment to take an actual photo but found a photo of a DS3 door online and circled the bolts/screws

Also, I think they're covered by little black bits of plastic usually but I'm not too fussed about those I just need the screw cheers

Interested to know why you’re having your car walnut blasted ? Also, where are you having this done ?

Cheers

Most probable blasting the intake valves, due too gumming up with carbon. Common stupid GDI problems..
I have various repair handbooks and wiring diagrams for C5 mk1, Xantia, XM, Berlingo and C3 mk1.
I have Lexia/Diagbox (Sweden) and Servicebox/sedre

Hadn't had it done since I'd owned the car and it was getting a bit sluggish so thought I'd give it a bit of TLC since the car does get pretty coked up. Had it done at Mill Lane Automotive in Bristol (BMW & Mini specialist so they know about the 1.6 THP)

Oops, I thought blasting was for bodywork, hence my question. Understand now !

Ah can be yes but more commonly for the 1.6 THP engine it'd be on the inlet valves. Or even on most modern direct injection engines like the Citroenguy said
