While recently getting my Rear suspension arm bearings replaced, the mechanic from a local garage fiddled with the strut. When the car was returned I noticed a small leak coming from the upper extension of the strut gaiter where the LHM return pipe goes into from a small crack in the rubber extension.
The references for the gaiter is number 4 in the image above (OEM 527233).
Apparently this gaiter is NFP. Any idea if other references for the gaiter and the clamp say from the C5 might fit?
Otherwise any suggestions for how I may attempt a repair.

Hi Aneesh,
The part is NFP at Citroen, but available here, on Citroen's heritage site . . .

Re: Xantia Estate rear suspension strut rubber gaiter
Amazing.... Thanks a lot. I will order them.
By the way I was just going through this old thread: viewtopic.php?t=40827
And it showed the picture of 527204. This is locally available. I think this was also used in earlier citroens. Any idea if these are compatible (though not officially listed for mk2 xantia they were for mk1)? Otherwise I will just order from france. Though the citroen heritage site does not seem to have the clamp 5280T6 (marked 7 in the image). Though my local citroen supplier has dia 56 clamp with reference 26140919 (Also from earlier GS/BX). Probably i can order and try that.
If any info about the compatibility of the above alternative boot and clamp, please let me know.

Re: Xantia Estate rear suspension strut rubber gaiter
5272 33 is shown for Xantia II, from RP6779 onwards; clip daimeter is not stated.
5272 04 is shown for Xantia I, up to RP6778; clip diameter is listed as 56mm diameter. Also fitted to BX.
For the clip, I would think any narrower (not full-width) hose clip would suffice, or even a stout cable tie.
The gaiter is not running under any significant pressure, just fluid return. Just needs to be leak-proof.
I'd go for the Pieces de Rechange item (5272 33), as it's correct (for both saloon and estate), and available.

Re: Xantia Estate rear suspension strut rubber gaiter
Wise advise.
Where exactly does the LHM come out from the strut?
There are two tubes, and I believe the one closer to the sphere is where the lhm returns while the other one towards the piston is for air (which means should not have lhm).
Since the dual wire clamp goes on both sides of the first plug, I thought the lhm input should be in the narrow area and thus the need for dual wired clamp.
Am I missing something?

Re: Xantia Estate rear suspension strut rubber gaiter
Apologies, I had forgotten that the clip passes either side of the tube.
