Starter motor and Maf sensor.

Post by seanrx »

Hi.

Starter and MAF. Possible to give diagrams of their locations?

With my new battery fitted, I want to check their condition and clean if needed.

Giving those of us who aren't forum staff a clue as to which car and engine we are talking about here would aid your quest for information greatly 😉

There is no MAF on your EW10A petrol. You have a MAP sensor, but the atmospheric pressure sensor is integrated within the engine ECU.

The starter motor is not that easy to get to - the battery needs disconnecting, then the Air Cleaner assembly has to be removed, the cooling pipes after removing the supports to get to it.

Thanks for pics.
Wow! Now that is well hidden.

I was lying under car looking for it, just wanted to test cable and terminal for any voltage drop. Perhaps not!

Incredible that they can place it so out of the way.
