Where is that 2404 DRL relay located in the headlight? I just swapped my old headlights to these led-drl-ones from damaged cars, an other one has some kind of fault with DRL. Most of the times it works normally, mut some times it wont light up - neither in full or sidelight mode. So I think there might be some fault inside that DRL relay. It seems to be a common problem with Audi.
