After all this superb assistance I just hope it hasn't been sold!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: C4 purchase advice needed on what to look out for please
I really hope so too Mick
As luck would have it i have a collection tomorrow 15 miles down the road from where the car is so with a bit of lateral thinking ( road closure need to detour ) then i think i should be able to manage a viewing prior to Saturday.
Marc thanks for the PDF very informative.
I am sure you have had a peek at it but a couple of things confuse me in it, nothing unusual in that i guess.
It says
RADIO RECEIVER ’RT6’ AUDIO/TELEPHONE REMOTE DISPLAY
and
RADIO-INFORMATION-COMMUNICATION PACK
WITH HANDS-FREE TELEPHONE KIT (DDO01) +
MyWay (DRCRN) + 1 JACK SOCKET + USB
(DYM04)
The only other issue i see is that it has a Factory Denon sound system and i cannot see any similar looking head unit in the telematics section, maybe not all the head units are pictured lol

Re: C4 purchase advice needed on what to look out for please
Hi Colin - I didn't have a chance to look over it, but have now after I read your last post.
Basically you have the RT6 Head unit and large colour screen.
The other things are just a USB port that is used to update the Head Unit and for playing Media files.
The Hands Free kit is not what it says, but is the independent telematic unit. This unit is the autonomous unit hidden away that is linked to the emergency call or SOS button.
This function is used to reduce the time taken by the assistance services to reach the vehicle in the event of a problem or an accident.
The vehicle communicates its geographical position and other information to a service provider which serves as an interface for alerting the breakdown assistance and/or emergency services.
The emergency call is made in one of the following ways:
So you need to ensure that a valid SIM card is kept in the vehicle for this to work. There will be a small housing where this can be located somewhere - usually in the glovebox.
For normal telephone calls, the RT6 handles these via Bluetooth connection to your phone and can also stream music from your phone.
The equaliser Amp will be hidden away, but there will be a loudspeaker (subwoofer) in the rear somewhere - probably in the side panels of the tailgate recesses.

- Manually using with the "SOS" button (Press for more than 2 seconds)
- Automatically when the airbags are triggered

Re: C4 purchase advice needed on what to look out for please
Well pleased to report that the C4 is now sat on my driveway
Very nice inside, lots of toys and buttons, only downside is the drivers seat heating is not working, everything else works just fine. Cannot complain about the seat heating not working as it was not advertised as having it.
Could someone point me in the direction of the diag socket location, as would like to run a global test etc.
Reset the trip once i had put some fuel in it and over a 76 mile journey it returned 60.7 MPG very happy with that

Don't want to rain on your parade Colin, but the heated seat elements are known to fail at some point with all the entering and exiting of the seat shall we say... The leather seats are more difficult to repair as they have bonded leather, so not sure about your particular seats. Do you have heated seats on both the front - and if so are they both not working?

Re: C4 purchase advice needed on what to look out for please
Unfortunately Marc the passenger seat works fine so looks like the element has packed up on the drivers seat. Not a big issue for now but i may look into getting it sorted in the future.
I did have a look for info prior to going to see the car and it seems a common problem which i think entails a seat base replacement

They do sell the heated diaphragms separately, but I don't have any info on fitting these Colin
They are £136.50 for the Seat Squab (7) part 8925E1
and £150.29 for the Seat Cushion (8) part 8925E4

You might want to get hold of Doo (who is a forum member), as I believe he has managed to replace seat heater elements (I could be wrong though).
