The BSIs on earlier models had several versions (levels if you like) which were dependent upon options fitted to the vehicle. The more options and equipment, the higher the level of the BSI required. It is therefore essential to fit like for like to maintain functionality or replace with the top level BSI - but of course you'll need the matched set of Engine ECU and Fobs again.

I'm not worried. About that.. The fob bit was easy. I swapped. My. Key blade. Into the replacement fob..

So what's your thoughts on my posted bsi above. My one and eBay one...? No go?

Both the BSIs are J01, which are the top of the range BSIs. As long as you have the same part number (which they are in this case: 9651196680) you should be fine. They may have different software versions though, but should be fine for matching and if necessary, you can always get it updated at the dealers if required.

If I buy another set.. Incedentally that bsi set shown on ebay is 60 quid.. If I spend that its the last spend. I need to sell it now

But we have come out in it again another 100 miles not egr fault so the ecu that was in it was seriously hurt before I even hurt it...

yes that's correct the mileage is stored on the bsi and not the ecu. i had to get mine done and i had to get a specialist mileage correction company to come out to me to do it. you could always give them a try if you get stuck.

I have this problem with a 2007 C5, 1.6 HDI.
With Lexia, the fan only runs at maximum speed, it doesn't run at low speed.
I opened that box next to the fan and it contains a single relay.
Next to the fan motor, there is a box with a cooling radiator that has 4 wires, two thick and two thin. Does this box contain the low speed resistors?
Or are they somewhere else?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this model?
