Digging around my pics of Boroughbridge and surrounds on the back of Peter's POTD I came across this nice TR6 taken in May 2018. This was later in the evening but the day was absolutely gorgeous, so I've put in another open toppage shot from a sun baked Helmsley earlier the same day.

I like those Jaguar XK8's, but currently quite unloved at the Auctions as I mentioned here

They are a very pretty car, far nicer than the current crop.

Youngest daughter and her 'bananamobile'.

I failed miserably to get a photo of her current Megane cabriolet a couple of days ago, and the MX5 her sister has when I was there yesterday. Her Escort cabriolet is going to be sold too.

Blue Caterham Seven, and an Orange Lotus the pick of the open toppage so far today

These things, whether they are in top spec with V6 Engine like this or not, rarely achieve the prices you might expect.
Est £3,000 to £4,000. Nice interior.

Lovely cars but they have one drawback. I borrowed a demonstrator from the Saab dealer in Wimbledon when I was working in car finance. We used to get loan cars often to keep us passing our clients to the dealers for supply as we only wrote the finance. Anyway, I borrowed a beautiful burgundy 9-3 convertible to take my girlfriend of the time on a surprise touring holiday to Scotland. It was raining on the day I collected the car and then picked her up from Mill Hill and set off up the A1. Somewhere around Grantham the rain stopped and we decided to put the hood down. I duly pressed the button to be greeted (Iirc) by a buzzer and no movement. To cut a long story short I soon discovered that to have the hood down would mean putting most of our luggage on the back seat to make room for the hood in the boot. Not good!!! So we were only able to have the top down when on two occasions we stayed in the same hotel for 2 nights. The rest of the 10 day trip was spent with the luggage in the boot and the top up, which particularly bugs me if I'm driving a convertible in beautiful countryside on sunny days!! The moral of the story is don't go touring in a Saab convertible!! :)

Was just eyeing one this afternoon and thinking in might be a good idea.
Two daughters have had them.
