Hi! Today i did a oil change on my "new" 06 c5. I cannot figure out where the level should be on this dipstick
Photo below is with 3.9l in after change.

If that dipstick is broken and there's oil showing when it's dipped then the engine is probably overfilled (maybe only slightly) again.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

I had 1 break on the wifes C4 1.6 HDI, and was advised by various people that the broken bit would just end up in the sump and not cause a problem, which seemed logical so I bought a replacement, after a while that also broke, then while doing other jobs I decided to retrieve the broken bits from the sump
They didn't make it that far, The dipstick guide tube has 2 90 degree bends in it and the bits were jammed tight across the first bend and more dipsticks would just keep making it worse, so I removed the guide tube and cleaned out the bits.
