berlingo engie swap
hi i have just replaced my 53 plate berlingo 1.9 diesel engine with another exactly the same code engine i have plugged all the leads in and have double checked everything however the engine ids turning over ok but not firing . have i missed something or as i suspect does the diesel pump need recoding

Unscrew an injector pipe very slightly and spin the engine. This will purge air from the pipes. Does any fuel appear? Did you swap the pump from the original engine? I believe these on a DW8 1.9 are armoured around the stop solenoid as an anti theft. If you have the old pump refit it. I don't think they can be recoded but can be de armoured but it is tricky in situ.

The pump is coded.
You have a few options.
Fit your original pump to the new engine.
Fit the BSI & transponder chip from the donor engie.
Or de armour the pump & fit a normal single wire solenoid.
