This looks like a genuine one at less cost (and ships internationally). At least with a clear picture of the part. https://www.ebay.com/itm/303482533382 or https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/224007568393

Plenty of options - from the UK site which does include some international shippers:

Yep that's the one! Nice to know it's the same for both engines and yep a right pig to change!GiveMeABreak wrote: 03 Jun 2021, 09:13 Ok, so I think I have found the culprit, item 4 if this is the part under item (2) of my previous diagram. It is called the Engine water intake tank.
If you follow down to the last post from 'cruiserphil', you will see he has put a link to a tutorial on replacing it. A bit of a swine by all accounts.
If I was ever to do another one I would remove the bumper, degas the aircon and remove the Rad, intercooler & condenser pack. It might seem excessive but it will be quicker and save a lot of swearing if you don't have small hands to get to the bolts and a special tool to remove the hose clips

So far the suggestions have all seemed too difficult . I do know that the V6 3.0HDi is virtually the same engine as LANDROVER use in their Discovery around 2006 . This was originally made by FORD !
Maybe my local Landrover dealer can help as I do not have a local Citroen dealer , nearest is about 180 klms away .
The Landi boys should know how to do it but as the engine is turned 90 deg, access might be a lot easier and they may shy away from the X7.
Honestly, I think your best option is to get a mobile aircon guy to degas for you and dive in.... or buy me a plane ticket for a holiday down under

And there's me thinking Coffs Harbour was somewhere in Cornwall!
It doesn't sound very Australian

Re: C5 x7 v6 TTD Engine overheating
I ordered the Citroen water pipe flange for the C5 3.0HDi on 4th June 2021 from Lithuania , to my great surprise it arrived today , only 7 days after posting . That is amazing as in OZ it takes 14 days to send a birthday card 500 klm . Australia Post needs to learn from these guys !!
Thanks for all your help in identifying this part !
I think I included a photo of the Dieselgate charges against Citroen , Peugeot & Renault in court in Paris .
You may have heard this already !!
Cheers

Glad you have the part - yes it puts our postal services to shame - these guys are quite efficient.
PSA are denying they've done anything wrong and want their day in court it seems.
