Hi,
If I order a new key (built in wireless/remote) to my C4 2005, will I then be able to pair it with my car my self using Diagbox rather than Lexia or must I go to a dealer and pay them to pair the new key?
Than you.

Re: New Key
You will need the security code card that came with the vehicle when new. This is used to authorise the ECUs to accept the key. You will also need to do ALL of the keys at the same time, otherwise any that are not done will be 'forgotten'.
If you do not have the security code you can normally get it from a dealership for a fee (as well as proof of ownership and a valid ID).

Re: New Key
I don't have such a card, but it is abut the size of a normal credit card with a scratch off panel. Normally you will get two cards with the vehicle when it is first supplied. It may look like the card in the following link;

Re: New Key
I found the card
To avoid misunderstandings:
1. I need to order a new key
2. I need to use Elexia (will ask for VIN and security code) to program all the keys at the same time. Elexia will tell me the procedure to follow?
Then I shall be good to go?

Re: New Key
If you are using Lexia instead of diagbox you dont put the VIN in, if using diagbox inputing the VIN is optional & only to identify the vehicle.
When you program the keys Lexia will guide you through it. One thing to note is when it asks you how many keys you want to program you enter the total number of keys you will be programming in this session , this is not just the amount of new keys but total keys.
