RNEG language option missing

Post by chisu6 »

I have a question for the experts on the subject. Perhaps you have already wondered something about it, but I can not find an answer. I have had to go from an RT5 to a RNEG MYWAY due to some problem I had with it. Now with this device, coming from a C5 X7, I can't get the option to change the language. I can't find it on DIAGBOX either. The device is in French and I would like the Language option in the menu to appear. Please could you help me? Thank you very much in advance.

You won't be able to do this with Diagbox - it very likely needs the dealer to connect to it in Internet connected mode with an authorised PSA account to configure. Once the dealer has configured the unit, this will provide the menu in the unit to show up so you change the language options yourself.

I posted about this here:

hello Marc, thanks for your answer as always. The problem I see is that surely the dealer does not know how to configure it. For now I have made an appointment in two places since today they could not attend me. In principle tomorrow I should know the answer. what happens, I comment here. a greeting

You are totally at the mercy of the experience of the staff available in the dealership. Put up a request to see if any experts are in your area.

Hello. Well yes, I am at the mercy of the knowledge of the dealership staff. I hope I'm wrong and they know how to solve the problem, but I have my doubts. Thank you

Good,

because in the end and as expected, they are not able to find a solution. I'm afraid I'll be left with the RNEG half-encoded. Anyway thank you very much

If they can't get it to work, then the RNEG may be too new for your vehicle - hard to say, but it may be because the BSI / ANC control box is different or the software is insufficient for the later systems.

Hi Marc,

Whatever it is, I have to accept it. I have put it up for sale warning of this problem. Let's see if I'm lucky and I can sell it soon. All the best
