Hi,
My car will start fine and run for a while but then might "buck"/jerk, keep on driving, then might do it a while later, then on occasion after doing it
the ESP/ASR fault appears. If I turn the car off then back on the fault goes away.
There is no consistency in the time frames between jerks. Might be twenty minutes or could be a few. But it would be at least one or two in an hour.
There is no EML on.
Does anyone know what this is? Stuffed EGR valve?
Regards
Barry

Or a faulty crank sensor? but that would turn the EML on?

I will definitely be doing that but what has me questioning it, is the jerks are quite sharp, there is only ever one jerk and its sharp and sudden and the car then keeps going. It could be too sharp a jerk for a clogged EGR?
Does the clogged EGR not produce more regular "coughing" like symptoms?
