Re: On your Bike
A lovely bit of scenery there Old'uns
Today I did the Formula 5 Duathlon, a 5K run followed by a 20K bike ride followed by a second 5K run, a second 20K bike ride and finally a third 5K run
All in chilly and windy weather just wearing a trisuit It's amazing when you are racing just how much you don't notice a cold east wind!
It was magical Loved every nanosecond!
And the vehicles that made it all possible

Re: On your Bike
Absolutely tremendous Jim. You have clearly trained yourself extremely well. I can't even remember exactly when you kicked the running/cycling off, but the enjoyment you get from it certainly comes through in your posts, and your endurance achievements are outstanding.

Re: On your Bike
Thanks Neil I'm not sure now but I've been seriously into it for a few years now... I fist started cycling seriously in 2105 and running came a little later...
You're right about me enjoying it... Especially when I'm taking part in a duathlon, my favourite discipline, god is in his heaven and all's well with the world
The endorphin high at the end is amazing... Who needs Class-A drugs

On the e-bikes cargo bike front, the reviewer certainly liked it and it has a few accessories to give it more purpose than
lugging cargo from the grocery store...

Re: On your Bike
I think cargo bikes could well be the next big thing... I'm all for them

Re: On your Bike
Here's a plan then Jim, I'll get a cargo bike and be the cargo and you can be the engine!!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

But they couldn't stand up on the pedals, as the North East Gas Board have also disconnected the chain!

Re: On your Bike
I had a friend in my youth that used to deliver for the butchers on a bike similar to that - it did have a saddle though.

Re: On your Bike
A lot of the big companies are very much developing last mile vehicles.
This is an interesting video, a decent run through of its features, plenty interesting elements (flax fibre composite body, special tyres etc , and an airfield somewhere in the UK, and no doubt an enterprising start up.
Bit more than a cargo bike but an interesting development. I enjoyed finding out about it and did the 20 minutes or so. A lot of these vids are a bit wordy, but I was interested enough in the story to listen.
Regards Neil
