C4 (2005) - Main light hight control

Unread post by gordone »

I was out driving some days ago where alot of people was flashing to me... and I fugure out the light was way high....

When I try to adjust from the switch/regulator inside the car, nothing happens... I think they know stay on the highest posistion....

Where to start?

I checked the manual inside the car for finding correct fuse, but the hight adjusment on main light was not mention....

Thank you :)

Do you have the directional Xenon lighting or the standard halogen lights? Putting you VIN up here (auto masked) will help us determine the exact car and options you have as the RP number and paint code is not useful.

I'm guessing if it has a height adjuster switch inside its Halogen lamps? The highest setting is the normal position so unless your carrying heavy load in the back this shouldnt be a problem.
I would start by checking the bulbs are correctly fitted in the holders, this is often a cause of incorrect beam pattern, if this is ok you will ideally need a garage with a beam setter to have the lamps adjusted correctly, the manual level switch should be set to the normal (highest) position when the lamps are aligned.

Thank you all!

These is old halogen lamp, yes switch 1-5 or something.

Ahh... I will check lamp, properly installed it incorrect...

I don’t need the hight adjuster to work.
