Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I remember those days, we had a reconditioning plant about 5 miles away, used to watch them being done, most informative.
I had the laptop next to the stove for several days, it got quite hot so I would imagine it was quite dry when I tried it again, exactly the same. I think I will probably need a later programme anyway so I will attempt to load it onto the other one. When I know what to get and where from.

A bit of modern MK sculpture
And an explanatory pipe...
It's on the end of a concrete pipe as previously the land was the site of the ROCLA concrete pipe factory...
It was seen as a great opportunity for a pipe factory given there would be tremendous demand for them in the building of Milton Keynes... They were a big employer for a time and successful but sadly it did not last...

Took this yesterday at the BB Micra tree
To the naked eye, the scene was a vision of vivid green field, bright white wind turbines, a strip of darker blue sea, and a beautiful bright blue sky. Don't think any of the photos I snapped quite captured all of that. I was pleased with this one though when it came out of the "developer" . Lovely shadow of the tree which I hadn't noticed and a self portrait of the photographer to the left!...and a leaf bud from the leafless tree centerish right bottom of the photo

I'll put a bit about ROCLA on the Trivia InvestigationTeam pages Jim so as not to weigh down POTD....Still alive and based in South Africa!CitroJim wrote: 14 Mar 2021, 08:23

No, unlikely.
They have two vans and three cars parked, sometimes more. Awkward for others to find parking places sometimes.

Re: Picture(s) of the day
Once seen a stag go clean through a vauxhal astra estate!! That was one hell of a mess and the big bugger still got up and ran off. The car looked like it had been cut up by the firebrigade after a head on at 200mph. Made me very cautious on the stretch of road.elma wrote: 04 Oct 2015, 23:48 I thought they were painting pictures of the ponies by the road to put them in your mind so you slow down. Painting the actual ponies is crazy, the cars are already painted and they still crash. Cows destroy vehicles, my friend bumped one in a Black Cab. The insurance wouldn't pay out as they didn't believe he hit a Cow.
