Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
What is Jim's Church called and where is it
REgards Neil
We can take it it should be within a 22.5ish mile radius circle of Paggers.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
And the answer to the quiz is
It was rebuilt in 1860 on the site of an earlier church, which collapsed when repairs were undertaken to rectify an outward leaning wall. The new church was designed by the architect, Henry Clutton, who also designed the Romanesque church at Woburn, and the rebuilding was financed by the Duke of Bedford and the rector.
It was restored in 1912 by the Duke of Bedford and in the course of excavations in the chancel, 531 English and Scotch silver coins of 13th century were found. It is thought that these were offerings of patients of a former rector, John de Schorne, who acquired fame for his healing powers.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Good effort Mick I suspected some would be hard to get top of the head. If you check with the spoiler 8 of the TOH were right, the 2 researched right, and 4 on your list not right.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Does that include my two amendments above the picture? I was fairly confident about the replacement for Jemco?

Its the taking part that counts Steve
The other one is at a supermarket we use occasionally.
Regards Neil
Yes Mick 2 left now. One of them I know from being one of the first to plug a biodiesel blend, and their little tankers occasionally motor round these parts.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑25 Mar 2021, 08:46 The other 2 will require more effort, so I'll give them a go later
