C5 break mk1 2003 lexia height adjustment values

Post by ml11ML »

Hi,

I tried messing around with the "Vehicle reference height adjustment" menu in lexia on my C5 (yes I did read all about how you should not do anything related to suspension height but I went and tried it anyway...) and it didn't want to accept any number slightly higher or lower than the initial settings and also didn't accept the programmed numbers that were in it before I messed with it which I think is very strange because how were they able to be set in the first place if it doesn't like those numbers?? In the picture are the values that I got the car with before I started doing anything.

It has reset itself to be the same as the "Initial front/rear height" values which just made the car a tiny bit higher than it was before.

Can anyone tell me the correct range of numbers I can write in that menu and have it accept the new values? Or is there some strange way to input them that I'm not aware of like maybe adding some value to the original for example 128 + 10 or some silly thing like that? Or maybe the clone lexias are just incapable of altering this setting and default back to the standard settings every time you try to write in your own?

Any info on this will be appreciated.

These are not just numbers you put in - you are supposed to complete the height measurement procedure and undertake the calculations. When you have finished you end up with a figure that you use to input into Lexia / Diagbox and these are converted internally to other values.

Follow the procedure here:

Oh okay, that makes sense. Thank you for the link. I have only found the procedure for a C5 X7 and C6 before so this is very helpful.

Just one more thing... In what state do I have to have the car to measure the proper values? Because I noticed that it moves a decent distance up or down sometimes if the engine is running or off or the doors are opened or closed and I imagine the values would be way off from what it wants if I measure it in the wrong state? I assume it has to be measured in the "parked state"?

Make sure tyre pressures are correct first of all, then the height checking is done with the car in Normal suspension height and with the engine running.
