Wrecked cv joint

So i replace the cv joint on picasso c3 2012 diesel ,(passenger side), andwhen i put the cv joint back , i hammered it in wrong place , now i have clicking noise from this joint.
prob i damaged the bearing .
the local dealer says he cant find this cv join,and i need to replace the entire axle.
is he right is there any where i can get it online or something?

Both the ball joint kits are available from Citroen as well as the connecting rods, so I don't know where he is getting that from!

im takling about the axle ,not steering...

Ok, so if you are referring to the Driveshafts, then he is correct. Citroen do not sell the CV ball joints, only the complete left and right driveshafts.

I've fitted one of these J&R CV joints - I couldn't believe how cheap they were, but it seemed to be good quality, and fitted well (*), and the boot was good. It ran happily for a good few miles before I had to scrap the car for other reasons.

Presume you fitted a new boot. Did you remove the joint, or use a stretch boot? Did you put plenty of grease in?

* my only trouble was that the supplied circlip was the wrong section and didn't fit in the shaft, so made getting the joint back on difficult. I had to straighten out and clean up the old clip to get it back on.

I reomoved the cv joint for replacing the boot, i grease it good i guess, but when i first time tried to put the joint back on i hammered it , when it didnt sat right so probebly, messed the bearing in it .
whould u recomend the J&R kit? the local dealer wants like 700 nis (215 USD ) to repair the axle....

also i can i know which picasso moddel i have , in the paper it says 1560 diesel 9hp.
in parts numbers there is this line- "1560cc 66KW 90HP"
, how can i know the Kw and HP?

1.6 92 BHP DV6DTED from that engine code of 9HP (68 KW), but pop your VIN up and we'll let you know for sure.

fyi - took the axle out (10 minuts at top) , 1 of the balls in the cv joint was loose , i send it to repair , hope it wont cost too much...

is there is any way to feel the joint ,when i put the joint back to the axle, to prevent what happened to me for future reference?
