C4 Picasso Mk2 - Window Regulator

Hi, just discovered your forum while poking around trying to fix my problem. Thanks for all the helpful information on here!

Our driver's side rear door had an issue during the icy weather and it seems the cable has snapped. I am pretty sure the motor is still working as I can hear it clicking, but the non-manufacturer mechanism replacements don't look great and aren't exactly cheap either.

I was hoping you could provide a part number for this, so I can source the part myself? I think I have it narrowed down to 9676172380 but I am not confident enough in my detective abilities!

Hi and welcome and thanks for the donation (that will provide you with PSA parts info for up to 2 years too).

Before I get into your parts request, please note that there is an after sales campaign recall for your vehicle being flagged up by Citroen. I cannot tell you what it is - but the dealer will. It could be anything from a repair / replacement or a software update - but it is outstanding, so I strongly suggest you ring them up and provide your VIN. They should inform you what it involves and it will be free of charge.

As for your rear windows, these are different to the fronts.

Item (10) is the electronic lifter and there doesn't seem to be a part for the wiring alone unlike the front windows where you can buy the wire and frame/ The rears seem to be a complete unit:

Item (10) has 2 part numbers - the old part: 9676172480 £328.56 inc. VAT
and the later replacement part number: 982607658 £379.70 inc. VAT

That is very interesting, I will check it out! I just checked the recalls on the DVSA website via check-mot.service.gov.uk and nothing is listed, does that mean it could be quite recent?

Is that definitely the off side/drivers rear? The door shape looks like near side/passenger rear and the part number returns results for NS/R in a quick search. I think there might be one digit difference, so I am worried about grabbing the wrong one.

EDIT: Called the dealer, its a catalytic converter recall where some are showing accelerated signs of corrosion. Booked in for preventative measures or replacement. Thanks so much for pointing this out.

No problems - these won't be listed as 'safety' recalls on VOSA as you have found out, they are manufacturer initiated recalls for other problems and often get missed as owners (especially second hand owners) tend to take their cars to non-main dealer garages, so the owners are never aware of any after sales campaigns as the dealers don't have contact details.

As for the window, there are of course part numbers for left and right rear units and I think I've given you the rear left one earlier.

9676172380 is the original part for the rear right.
9826076480 is the newer replacement part number for the rear right.
