Anyone know what the bar circled is please?
I'm getting a creaking from the front n/s of the car when I turn with full lock on, had a look to see if I could see anything loose or worn, couldn't, but saw that was missing, and I can't for the life of me remember what it is :)

Thanks very much

If it's the part I think it is, it's part of the subframe assembly - the strut. There is only one of these fitted to one side though and they are different for RHD and LHD vehicles.

In your case it should be item (6) for right hand drive and this is fitted to the right side, so you shouldn't have item (5) which is for left hand drive vehicles and is fitted on the left side.

350854 is t he part number for the RHD one (6). £28.09 inc. VAT from Peugeot.

Thanks Marc, how strange haha, I genuinely thought it was missing, for it to have the bolt at the top and the hole for the other end, it really looked like it had gone, I had no idea how it could have fell off, certainly without me hearing it, but that explain its :)

Thank you again for your advice.

One more thing while you're here please, getting my Clutch/DMF done in a few weeks, do you have to use Lexia to tell the ECU it's been replaced do you know?

No not for a standard manual transmission - there's no ECU Voodoo involved for replacing the clutch and DMF.

If you have a few minutes spare, you couldn't grab me the part number and price for the drop links could you please.
Gone through 3 sets in 3 years now, last ones have only lasted 2000 miles, so might get genuine Peugeot parts, might get them to fit them too so when they go again they will be under warranty!

thanks very much again Marc, hopefully Halfords gave the correct diagnosis :)
Think I'll go for the cheaper ones, I take it they are as good quality or thereabouts?

When I have changed droplinks myself I have found Lemforder to be of a reliable quality. Looking on ebay for Lemforder droplinks for your 3008 is getting prices around £30 for a pair.

It's down to choice and budget really - but the OEM original ones are going to be better quality and were as fitted to the vehicle at new. So see how long the originals have lasted. With a cheaper one I would not expect it to potentially last as long - or be of the same quality - but if this is something you are happy to change yourself then 4 cheaper ones for the price of one OEM one may be better value - though not if you are paying to have them fitted with the labour charges and VAT etc. each time you have to replace them.
