Back to the early sixties for a contemporary band of the Beatles. They played at the Cavern and many other places. Jackie Lomax later went his own way. The Undertakers - Mashed Potato




Brian "Saxophone" Jones still keeps the band running. This one from not so long ago featuring a guest appearance by Jackie Lomax. Tell Me What You Gonna Do

I didnt find what I was looking for, a decent video of their appearance on "The Tube" from our very own Tyne Tees Television Studios. They first caught my attention with New Years Day, but I seem to remember an appearance on The Tube as well not long after when Bono's engagement with the audience was maybe a foretaste of their immense popularity which was to follow.

Always liked Todd Rundgren a very talented musician and songwriter. Don't think he has ever been a great band frontman, and the recordings are much better than the live versions. As a producer he hit the heights wih Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell, and in general a nightmare to work with by all accounts.

This is one of his iconic anthems, performed by his band Utopia. Probably one for the fans like me who have grown up with the tune.
