I have posted a link to this video on The P.E. Quiz thread but I thought it worth posting here too as a general interest video for the non quizzers among you:

I have said previously that I can't abide dancing, it all just looks too stupid for words. This is a good example and together with the facial expressions is truly horrible.

It does have one slightly saving grace though.

Thanks Steve I saw there was on the same twitter page a link to the work of Cold War Steve! I was laughing out loud at his bedside montage posted on Oct 3rd, a few posts down the page.

"The Maid of the Mist" goes electric and one of them appropriately is named "Nikola Tesla" who was behind the design and construction of the hydro-electric power plant, located in Niagara Falls.

THe Nissen Hut has been mentioned many times on the OTCL. Bobins pic in the background on the Electric Vehicles Spotting thread reminded me of a Nissen style hut. Random seach brought up this vid by the forrestry commission of an installation in Dalby Forest to commemorate their centenary in 2019, and to celebrate the role of the Nissen Hut Villages which housed the forestry workers responsible for planting the forest by hand.

One of those on this day things, back in 1967 the Queen Officially opened the Tyne Tunnel

Liked the commentator bigging it up
"The largest diameter underground link ever built in Britain using the compressed air method"

For those of you watching in Black and White the Queen is the one in the red

Well regard this as about a half hour French Lesson with cars...........based on the various "Salon de l'automobile" from Paris from 1951 to 2004.

If you have half an interest in French cars its compulsory!

This link will take you to episode 1 of a truly amazing story. The last video issued is episode 87 I believe, so you can see it is not for the faint hearted. The series tells the story of 1 man's passion. Leo buys a 100+ year old yacht which was marked for scrapping, transports it to his land where he builds a boatshed round it and then........ well go and check it out: (and watch out for the most wonderful workshop one man could ever want!!)

Murmuration causing a power outage for a little village near Falkirk..as featured on today's POTD .energy company looking at ways of detering starlings bouncing on the transmission lines as they take off en masse.

Such a wonderful natural spectacle though...couple of videos here from our own shores.....nice and relaxing. Nice timing of the final mass descent at Minsmere...nicely in time with the music!

I had the misfortune of coming across this guy, contender for presenter of the year award, who can turn you insane in 30 seconds, but if you can cope with him there is some good info in here about fuel consumption, or should I say "gas miles"!! :)
