hi,
i have a citroen Xsara Phase 2, 1.4L petrol, year 2005
i want to know where are the temperature sensors. i think there is one which gives information to the ECU, and one to the gauge on the dashboard. can you help me locate them. if there are more, let me know as well.
Thanks

Re: XSARA Temperature sensor
They are in the thermostat housing, I would imagine a 2005 model will only have 1 sensor (green) older ones may have a separate (blue) sensor for the temp gauge on the dash.

Re: XSARA Temperature sensor
ok thanks for the reply.
my problem is that i have temperature warning and stop light when the temperature reaches 80 degrees. the car is not overheating (i hope) and the fan starts spinning normally @ 90 degrees.
any idea??

Does the car have AC? Does the stop light flash if you put the AC on.

Re: XSARA Temperature sensor
the car has AC, but i have "disconnected" since the blower was not working properly. btw, the problem was already there before disabling the blower.
i will check and replace the sensor
