C5 X7 2.0 HDI Cambelt Question

Hi Guys,

It's about that time almost 10 years old and 115k - so need to swap the cambelt

Can I turn the engine over by dropping in 5th rotating a wheel off the floor - without removing injectors or glowplugs - so I can line up locking pins ?

Assume battery disconnect will do stop solenoid - but will compression stop me rotating ?

You can do it this way but its so much easier to turn the crank with a socket & extension. Removing the wheel will give much better access too. I would never normally remove glow/spark plugs or injectors unless they were being removed anyway.
