More like a surface for skates!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Our local Decathlon is the same Mike... The cycling section looked like Mother Hubbard's cupboard a couple of weeks ago...Michel wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 07:39Decathlon was a state yesterday - hardly anything, including “standard” spares. Pissed me off as the website said all I wanted was in stock in Reading. They had 1 of the items.. No brake blocks, no bar-end plugs. Halfords had the brake blocks but not other bits either.
Our Halfords just the same too...
As I don't puff and pant Neil, my answer may not be quite accurate... For me they're both awful... If I had to choose then two-stroke smoke...NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 16:48 Anyway you regular cyclists puffing and panting away in the traffic what is worst;
a bit of diesel exhaust
or
the lingering stench of three two-stroke motocycles having their nuts revved off going past you uphill.
One thing I do notice on my early morning runs is just how cars that have just started up really do stink. It's revolting...
Not as revolting as running across a bridge over the M1 motorway at 05:30... The stench of oil, rubber and diesel coming up to greet you is enough to suffocate you...

I'm sure we've all got "stuff" on a watch list on Netflix, Prime etc?
So as I had a morning just sitting in the van due to wind and rain and working outside trying to fit Cazoo livery I finally got round to watching this....Le Ride, story of 1928 TdF
Absolutely brutal
I will no longer complain about 10-15 mins climbing slowly!
edit: on Amazon Prime

I wonder if the mayor of London would let it into his ULEZ.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

No harm In pushing at all Jim, it is referred to as a 'Push' bike after all!
Stocks are at an all time low internationally, not just here, shimano themselves have bare minimum stock to send out, an awful lot on the trade b2b sites are out until January now, those that do have any sell out very quick, I was lucky enough to manage to restock a lot of common parts recently, mostly due to not being able to sleep so nosing the stockists at 4am!

Re: On your Bike
It looks like my much-mocked tendency to keep plenty of running spares in stock is a good one! I've always been a bit of a hoarder of what I consider essential spares, be it for my cars or bikes and now it looks like it's now paying dividends
I keep very quiet at just what I do have in stock... Sometimes I even surprise myself

Re: On your Bike
That's rather special Neil Bike manufacturers just don't do magical logos like that now, more's the pity...
All you get now are squiggly lines and distinctive fonts...
I'll be well and truly on my bike tomorrow... Just finished preparing for my first Duathlon event... Here's all the stuff..
A numbered bib for me to wear and stickers for the bike and my helmet...
Tomorrow I'll be just a number!
Mind you, when I went to register this afternoon there was no need for me to say who I was... I'm that well-known in the MK running and cycling community now
