Ok, all of those show the same thing - the firmware version - which is good as you are on the latest firmware. Scroll down where it says Map versions, that will tell me the maps you have on.
I'll delete the duplicate pictures above in the meantime.

Re: Guide to Replacing the NG4 Navidrive 3D Hard Drive with a CF Card
I am replacing the HDD with a CF as it is rebooting and it is getting more frequent.
After fitting the CF card which has been formatted to fat32 and is set at slave the system powers up and starts the software update.
It gets to 67 % and fails with an error code 0x3019 and reboots and try's again to install software but gets to 67% an same problem it looks like it is in a loop.
If when it has failed i remove the CF card and check it on pc no partitions have been made.
If the original HDD is replaced the system boots up as normal.

Perhaps the card is faulty. Do you have any software that could run a test on the CF card? I use Flash Drive Card Tester for SD cards and USB drives. I imagine that would work on a CF card as well.

Tested the card after second attempt with H2testw.
i can also access the card on a pc and write and read the contents.
Once formatted fat32 and refitted in the head unit the software upgrade does not even partition the drive.
The interface card with the CF card works when connected to a Pc.

Also provide the exact model of the CF card too please (model number) as some of these may not be compatible if they are too fast.

Ok, I can't see anything on those pics - but use the scroll wheel to move onto the map version option and select - it should then provide the map details.Dave63 wrote: 12 Sep 2020, 20:10 Hi mark I’ve taken pics but not very clear I scrolled down too maps when I click on that the is nothing listed if you can’t see pics I will retake in daylight

If you cannot get anything when you select Map Version, then that tells me the mapping software is corrupt or not installed properly, which is probably the issue.
Where did you get the maps (CD?, Download? and where from?) Do you have a picture of the map software CD or the version details printed?

Re: Guide to Replacing the NG4 Navidrive 3D Hard Drive with a CF Card
I wouldn't normally quote the previous posts, but as we have 2 current topics going on, thought it better to prevent confusion.
1) Those maps are obviously not official versions - they are cloned copies - so it is a distinct possibility that there may be errors in the copying process and this may be why the mapping software has not installed properly. Has it ever worked since you installed the maps? If not, get in touch with the seller and get a refund.
2) You may have a problem with the hard disk itself - but I suspect the first issue above may be the culprit.
