I don't know if he has told you, but (due to work commitments) Michel will not be joining us in Henley.

Mick, have you contacted the various eateries to confirm that they are still OK after the new restrictions on groups, especially indoors?

He is taking an on-line course (work related) for a week starting 15th, and it is hosted from Canada, which means they are running 5 hours behind UK time. He is NOT happy about it.

I have just looked up The Three Horseshoes, reviews show they are COVID safe, and they also have a pool table. I shall bring my cue. :D There is no carpark, but there is a Tesco about 1/2 mile away. If I am passing through Henley in the next few days I will see what restrictions they have.

No i havn't Paul. As I understand it groups greater than 6 are banned but we only have a max of 4 at any point so I am not anticipating any difficulties, assuming the rules don't change again of course!

I had a call in Henley today, and I called into the Tesco car park. As far as I could see there were no parking restrictions. It is a bit over 1/2 mile from The Three Horseshoes. The railway station is about the same distance away, but you do have to pay at the car park. I think it was £1.30 for 3 hours.

I'm a bit concerned about Liverpool. There was talk on the local news this evening about more stringent rules if the number of reported cases keeps rising.

If Liverpool blows us out Paul, we should still be able to follow our route through the tunnel and maybe we can rearrange our meeting point wherever else you can get to? :-D

It's not Liverpool that's creeping on to the lower levels of the bad boys infection table, Wirral is as well. I am somewhat concerned.

That certainly doesn't look good, we will keep our fingers crossed and maybe we will have to talk on Wednesday morning and decide what to do then. :)

I'm sure the figures given are misleading, surely the more they test the more they will find, earlier figures would have missed positives because they weren't tested.

You're right to a certain extent Gibbo but the underlying trend is real and going upwards from what I've read.

On the news this morning there was talk that Merseyside (and hence Liverpool and Wirral) would be going on the Watch List. The figures are still a way off the level that Leicester was at before it was put into local lockdown, though.

Still hoping that Liverpool won't have pulled up its drawbridges by then!
