Haven't seen any examples of that recently, nor any other glitches. Everything seems to be working smoothly.

I have changed a forum setting which changes the way that guest (not logged in) user sessions are tracked, and this has the side effect that the topic icons have all gone grey for guests. Just letting you know...

Just had a "not Logged In" view of the forum and find the board index lagging behind. Showing one of Micks posts from 6-7pm tonight as the latest on the off topic chat lounge when many posts have been made since.

Board index logged in shows current position

PS the evidence not logged in Board index out of date

Thanks for the report. I think (hope) that was a one-off while I accidentally changed a setting to the wrong value (there are some instructions on the internet which are somewhat misleading).
I now know not to do that again.

That is intentional, or at least a known side-effect, of the current configuration which caches some pages viewed by not-logged-in users and search robots. The intention is to reduce server loading, but I am still fine-tuning the parameters. I will probably reduce the maximum cache time (currently 5 minutes) to 2 or 3 minutes.

I have completed this round of software upgrade and it seems to have been stable for a few days, so I am calling it complete.

Thank you all for your understanding.
