Pop your VIN up so I know which system you have and I'll see if I can put something up.

yes i watched that pretty much i dentical to mine i think i will clean the motor and pull the diaphram and check it put it back together and give it another go, my other option is to start swopping stuff from my other car but i dont really wont to go that root. When you look at itin that picture there is not really that much to go wrong with the pump!

The only other thing I can think of is the firmness regulator at the front. I know that constant sinking of the rears on a C6 and an X7 is due to a faulty valve on the rear hydraulic block and that can be cleaned up and repaired where it gets stuck. So it's possible you may have a similar issue on the front regulator with your C5.
C5 MK II firmness Reg.PNG
Key:

F: Soft status, electrovalve not supplied
G: Firm status, electrovalve supplied
ReferenceDesignation
"a"Towards the BHI
"b"Towards the right hand suspension
"c"Towards the reservoir return
"d"Towards the left hand suspension
22Hydractive sphere 3+
23Electrovalve slide valve
24Hydraulic isolation slide valve

G: Firm status:
Solenoid valve supply
Movement of the electrovalve slide (23), freeing the reservoir return and blocking the hydraulic supply coming from the BHI
The bottom part of the slide (24) is at the pressure of the hydraulic fluid reservoir. The top part of the slide (24) is at the pressure of the hydractive 3+ sphere
The difference in the pressure at each end of the slide (24) causes its movement. In its new position the slide (24) blocks the passage of hydraulic fluid between the RH suspension and the LH suspension. The hydractive 3+ sphere is isolated from the suspension circuit

F: Soft status:
Stopping of the supply of the electrovalve
The slide (23) moves under the effect of the supply pressure of the BHI
The return to the hydraulic fluid reservoir is blocked. The pressure under the lower part of the hydraulic isolation slide valve is identical to that of the BHI
The upper part of the hydraulic isolation slide valve is identical to that of the BHI. The slide (24) moves under the action of the integral spring
Flow of hydraulic fluid between the right hand and left hand suspension is possible. The hydractive 3+ sphere communicates with the suspension circuit

well i have fixed it! as of 6pm it is sat normally in the garage as to what was the problem i dont know the only item i found defective was the the diaphram which i reshaped using hot water, and the only other item replaced was the center sphere. the suspension initially started to sink as before but after some arobics it slowed the sinking down and then out of curiosity i hit the sport button and the sinking went away so i cycled it up and down and put it back into normal and it has been fine ever since so tomorrow i will put it back together and give it a test run Citroens dont you just love them!!

By switching to sport mode you'll have triggered the electrovalves in the firmness regulators, so I'm wondering if they became stuck and this has possibly freed it. Fingers crossed that this is it, but if it is - then it's likely the valve is sticking and that is causing the fluid return to the reservoir.

It could well be marc there was nothing obvious when i stripped it plus the addition of a new sphere which incedently is for an x7 but the guy i got it from said it would be fine, spent nearly an hour on the phone with him he has pumps available for all citroens and over 2000 items in his ebay shop of redundant citroen stock, let me know if it ok to post a link.
