Any decent garage with decent diagnostic kit should be able to do it, Bosch KTS for example comes with a universal harness adaptor for non 16 pin OBD connections. When the car is selected it will show you which pins to connect to. A lot of garages will also have conversion leads for older applications too.
Some Lexia/PP2000 kits cam with the adaptors too.
worst case you could just an adaptor, there are quite a few on ebay & not too expensive

My Lexia kit (from Easy Diagnostics) came with an OBD to two pin adaptor, so it could be worth asking any Forum members (in your area) if they have said adaptor, and then asking if they can help?

The adapter has arrived but the two OBD scanners that I tried won’t read the car so do I now need specialist Peugeot software.?

If you're referring to the 2 pin adaptor designed for a Lexia 3 and bundled with some Lexia/Diagbox kits, I think it's very unlikely that it would work with anything other than an actual Lexia, as two pin diagnostics don't use regular OBD-II comms.

A Lexia can switch into some proprietary comms modes which use non-standard pinouts which regular OBD-II adaptors do not understand.
