Xantia Door locks
Hi, just changed both front door locks. The doors open from the inside only!!!! everything appears to be connected. should the rod that connects the outside handle to the lock be in a certain position? I am stuck! any help greatfully received Terry.

Re: Xantia Door locks
Do you mean the lock barrels & or the actual latch mechanism?
Its been a long time since ive been in about a xantia door latch but i think some of the rods are adjustable, the rods are threaded at one end to allow fitting in different positions.
Lightly push down on the arm that unlocks the latch to take up the play before fitting the rod. if its too loose you end up taking all the play when pulling the handle & it doesent push it enough to open the door.
