You don't need it anymore Chris - just copy the YouTube link directly into your post.

The Youtube links in the 'spoiler' on Chris's post here -----> viewtopic.php?p=650916#p650916 don't expand into youtube videos for me. Is that a feature or a bug ?
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

Not sure if it is you or Gibbo - or both - but the links get automatically enclosed in [url] [/ url] tags.
Those tags just need removing if they are there - do a preview rather than submit and check for them.
Also, if you left click on the vidio and scoop up the "video url" as shown below.
Screenshot from 2020-07-15 18-50-35.png
It often doesn't work. Usually the url in the address bar will work, or the one from the "Share" option.

I've just removed the encapsulated URL tags and it works fine - no need for any tags, just paste the link in directly now. Click the spoiler again and you'll see

My fault - I had forgotten we'd tidied up the insertion of YouTube links.
Been a while since last done.
Thx all.

I did look in the profiles as it used to be an option that could be selected/deselected but found nothing, never thought of global deselection.

I have reinstated the new configuration for a few hours of testing.

I have adjusted a parameter which may have resolved the deadlock situation, and also fixed the (unrelated) bug that was causing issues with some externally hosted images.

There are a couple of images in this post of Zel's that are 404-ing. Could this be related?
PM'd Zel to let him know.

Yes it will be related, I have been trying to get the camo proxy to work with the new server engine, but it is not cooperating.
Are they back now? I have reverted to a configuration that seemed to partially work yesterday.

Maybe they are back now? I have reverted a bugfix (for a bug which was hiding the problem that I am really trying to solve).

Does the forum speed seem OK today?

given the general lack of complaints today, I will leave the software in its current configuration for a while. There is still an issue with some externally hosted images not displaying correctly, but I will sort that out tomorrow.

Yes, they are there now. Haven't been on long but speed appears to be fine - was earlier too.

Not had any problems with speed or page loadings today on both W10 and Android.
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
