So first picture is the brake vacuum hose that runs to the inlet manifold. This is used to supply the brake servo and is used for the braking assistance when you hit the brake pedal. It has nothing to do with your engine performance.

Thanks Marc, do you however have the part number for the brake servo vacuum hose? Maybe also for the breather hose?

The Brake Servo Hose (3) is part: 4578H7, costing £54.98 inc. UK VAT for reference.

I'm not sure which other hose you're referring to, can you be more specific?

Marc, thanks. Took off the hose the other day and blew on the manifold side, sometime I can blow, sometimes I can't so the valve is stuck sometimes and thus this might be the leak I am looking for?

Second line probably is the first picture you posted. Can you tell where the canister is located? Will look at it when the rains finally stop here.

The canister itself is near the fuel tank, but I wouldn't be worrying about that to be honest. To get to the electrovalve though, you need to remove the motorised butterfly housing - and if doing that, it is recommended that the seal is replaced when refitting.

Are you really sure you need to be doing all this though? Have you had it read by Diagbox yet to check for faults? You'll find that on these all the electrovalves are ECU controlled. Blowing down a pipe is really not going to give you a definitive answer as to a leak to be honest as the control units can leave the valves in different positions depending on conditions.

A thorough diagnostic may be a better and ultimately less expensive way to start if if can indicate a problem.

Read it with Lexia several times, no faults, also none in the journal that's why I am left with just changing stuff around to see if it improves....
Electrovalve is easily accessible (see my pictures).... How can I test this valve?

Hi Marc,

You have the part number for the seal under the throttle body for me? Or can I just use a liquid seal here?

It's the intake valve seal, part: 0348V5 and no, I would not use a liquid seal.

Remember if you are removing the motorised throttle housing, you'll need to wait 15 minutes after you last switched the ignition off and before disconnecting the battery (BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure) to allow the various ECUs time to store all their parameters.
