diagbox which version ??

hi im looking for advice on what version diagbox to install up to ?
looked through the version change log on here and the relay euro 5 gets a lots of mentions
the vans a 2012 euro 5 engine

I would stick to 7.57 / 7.58 as these are stable versions and cover vehicles up to Oct / Nov 2014. Don't forget that you may also need the S1279 add-on module. This is the additional module that goes inline between the VCI and the diagnostic port to be able to communicate with some passenger vehicles and most of the commercials with any Fiat / Ford influence. You can always try without it and if it will read all the ECUs then great, if not, you may need the add-on.

Pop up your VIN, just so I can see what version of Relay you have - there are stacks of combos of these. It's also important to make sure you have a full chip Lexia kit of you have a later van with CAN mutliplexing. Sometimes a connection issue can be becasue of the cheaper kit, or may be an installation or communication issue.

Ok, so yours is a 2012 Jumper III (badged Relay III in the UK), so will likely need the module to properly read some of the ECUs.

Hi guys, new to this forum and I see this is an old thread but anyway... I spent a lot of time on the fiatforum since my Citroen Jumper has an Iveco engine and is quite similar to the Ducato. But for diagnostics they can't help me.
A few days ago I ordered a Lexia 3 from Aliexpress because I need to diagnose my Airbag module. Now I don't think it's the 'full chip' one as it was cheap, this is the one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008086480655.html
Will I be able to get to the airbag module or do I need something else. Afaik this is a Jumper II, not III.

A full chip CAN version is required to talk to all the ECUs. Most full chip kits in the UK at least are about £100+. Try and get one from a reputable seller that offers localised country support.

Damn, I was too fast then ordering that one. It hasn't arrived yet but I wish I discovered this forum sooner. I did found some information on a french car forum but my french isn't as good as my english...
In the past I was able to talk to the engine ECU with a generic dongle and MultiECUScan, the software for Italian cars. I might give that another shot because their site lists that Airbag ECU as addressable without special adapter cables. Back then it failed on connecting to the BCM or instrument panel but I didn't try the airbag system.
I'll be looking for a full chip version then. I saw them on aliexpress as well being much more expensive.

Btw OT but the reason I need to check this is because I've changed the passenger bench for a single seat a few weeks ago, put a 2ohm resistor on the pre-tensioner connector and the airbag light went out, all good I thought. Now 3 weeks later the light suddenly lights up while driving and I have no clue...

So I'm confused now. I thought I had a Jumper II but I installed Diagbox already and according to the picture I have a Jumper III.
But somewhere else I read that the Ducato III is actually a Jumper II.

It's the first generation with the 'rounded' headlights, X250 is the model name, 2007, EURO4.
Do I need that adapter cable after all?
Well, the cheap VCI already cleared customs here so we'll find out soon enough.

There are different names for these vans in Europe and the UK. I can't help you with FIAT vehicles, regardless if they share the same platforms.

Ducato is of course a Fiat and some of these vans historically were made on the same platform and were collaboration vehicles with PSA sharing engines and chassis - it really depends what your designation is.

Oh but it IS a Citroen Jumper, Relay in the UK. Because it has the 3.0 Iveco power unit I spent most time on the Fiat forum.

I have a Citroen Relay 2018 model, has anybody got any experience with working with such recent vehicles? I spoke to a supplier of Lexia 3 cables, they sell them bundled with the software, they even supply it on a laptop ready to go. He advised me that the Lexia 3 doesn't work well with vans, and asked for my vin, basically told me to not bother..

So frustrating.. anybody have any experience with Relay / Jumper?
