I won’t be doing it for a little while as I need to get my other car back on the road first.
But, either way, . I’ll let you know how I get on when I do it.
Thanks for your advice.
Cheers

Re: Part number help please.
Never had a C8 but the AM6 on the C5 comes out without too much difficulty, as many on here know I bought my C5 with the gearbox gone awol , found a second hand box and fitted it myself, easier than a manual box.
One warning the box weighs in at 93Kg so you need some muscle to move it around.

Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Re: Part number help please.
There's a lot more room in a C5 than a C8 engine bay and consequently the C5 official guide does not require the engine out to replace the AM6 Eric, so that's probably why.

Re: Part number help please.
Thanks guys, but WOW ! I’d never have thought there was more room in the C5 than the C8 (and I’m not talking of interior space )
When/if I get round to doing it I’ll post back on here.
Cheers

Re: Part number help please.
While the C8 appears to be a larger vehicle it is a people carrier (rather than a car) so more space is given over to the cabin. This obviously means that there is less space elsewhere (including the engine bay).
