It is indeed Gibbo, I know you have been considering a Nissan Note, but would a 1007 come into your thinking or just too small? I think the sliding doors could be a useful feature.

It was quite striking in Yellow

I seem to remember from the top gear test of the 1007 that you could go to the Peugeot dealer and by an alternative trim set to change the colour of the vents and gear knob etc. I wonder if you still can? :-D

Not as such, I posted the picture and then when it came up I realised I'd left the registration for a much too easy picture. So I deleted the picture but that was all on the phone and I had to wait till I got on the laptop to deal with it . Sorry about that but here it is:

as pictured here

More info on the 1954 bus sale here:

You actually put it on "Nice Places to stop off at" Mick! :-D
superfluous now you have spotted that!
Never mind tremendous work Mick.....I was floundering a bit....the slope-y drivers windscreen with the opening bottom bit seemed the distinctive clue. Are you prepared to reveal your methods....wasn't on the facebook or twitter page for the Drift Cafe.

Very nice bus, I would have normally investigated and snooped a bit more when we were actually at the Cafe but it didnt seem appropriate seeing as they had established a strict operating and access method of working for the takeaway service to be open.

Once another post has been made you cant delete it but you can edit it out of existence leaving some message like "wrong place" "duplicated" or similar :-D

No secret in my method, just method.......DDG forever!!! :-D :-D I searched for "double decker buses with black roofs" and then looked at the image results. Scrolled down and down and down.........and eventually there it was on flickr. So got the model from the flickr tag and searched that to find the Birmingham History site. :-D

If you go to the Birmingham history website forum there's a former Birmingham bus man who can tell you all about the buses, routes, makes and models and more.

When I was back there I used to travel back and forth to work by bus at times, a 45 minute 5 miles trip in rush hour..

I often did an overtime job undersealing new cars and finished at 9pm, the bus time table was the same at that time as in the rush hour so despite clear roads the bus would still take 45 minutes as the driver kept to the schedule by hanging about at each stop on the way.
