Cit Jumper part number request

Post by moizeau »

I'm trying to help a local lad out that works for my mate. He's got a Jumper that has a ratchety front right spring and possibly the shock is knackered. The Vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. I'm after the part numbers relating to both sides please. I see that some susp tops are with or without bearings and some shocks are oil and some gas....and you have to take the lower dash out to access the top mount....nice.
Cheers
Pete

Don't know what year it is but if its a mk1 or 2 this sounds a lot worse than it actually is, its only a few screws each side then it just pops off.

I've pulled the shock off today, the bearing isn't, so that's knackered, the dash was fun, LHD so a little different to the Utoob vids, but off.
Quick question regarding shocks, I've only changed the rears on my C4 coupe in the last 30 years and it was as if they were under tension(they wanted to pop up to full length). I'm guessing these were gas shocks. The one that I pulled off today doesn't but has resistance in both directions, I'm presuming this is an oil version? Both types are listed under the same part number.
Any advice chaps?
Cheers
Pete
