Hi all
Does anyone know how the roof rails are secured to the C5 x7 estate?.
I notice that some are fitted with the silver aluminium version and some have a black version.
I prefer the silver version although mine are black if they are fastened above the roof lining they will be staying there but if they are fastened from above I may change mine to silver.
I can't see how the end caps come off so I was assuming they are fasted from inside the car
Thanks
Regards
Steve

Hi Steve
If you look at the parts diagram, you will see that there are bolts (6) to hold these on, but the nuts (70) are not shown here - so I can't tell if these just screw into the supporting structure underneath or whether there are nuts on the inside. I've put up the roof bar removal guide - and again, this makes no mention of nuts anywhere, so maybe the bolts screw directly into the underlying support....

Unclip: The roof bar trims (1), (2) ( as "a") using trim removal tools. Remove: The roof bar trims (1), (2). | Remove: The bolts (3) The roof bar (4) (Left hand ) |
Refit:
- The roof bar (4) (Left hand )
- Tighten to 0.8 ± 0.3 daN.m
- The roof bar trims (1), (2)
- Clip: The roof bar trims (1), (2) ( as "a").

Re: 2009 citroen c5 estate roof rails
Good morning everyone
Just thought I would give an update on the silver roof rails.
The plastic caps at either end just prise off using a trim tool, revealing some 6 mm bolts holding the rails to the roof after removing the bolts the rails can then be removed from the car
No work is required inside the car.
Regards
