RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
Hello guys!
So i bought a Citroen DS3 a short time ago, and i always wanted a display screen like i saw on other DS3..
I have the standard orange screen (RD45)
So i bought a RNEG unit very cheap, thing is i didnt do my research well and turns out it does not support bluetooth streaming music.. only calls.
The only thing i use on music on my car is BT Streaming.. However i see that the radio has an AUX option. I tried plugging a jack/usb near the lighter since theres a connection there and nothing happened.
I got really sad and advertised it on sales group, but i want to give it another try...
Is it possible to change the quadlock pins connection in order to get the AUX working? Does not need to be on the factory spot near the lighter
Ive spoken to a guy with the same radio and he says he changes the radio to AUX, and plugged a bluetooth transmitter on the jack, and works like BT streaming..
Is it possible only by changing quadlock pins?
Another thing is the original microphone which i have on the ceiling.. Do i need to change the quadlock pins too in order to work on the RNEG unit?
Please help me out guys.
I already have some buyers but i told them i would try this first
Thanks everyone

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
The MyWay does not and never supported bluetooth audio streaming (despite stating in some manuals that it did).
When you replaced the system did you configure all the parameters correctly in Diagbox? You would of needed to VIN coded the MyWay to the vehicle so I assume at least some of this has been done.
The AUX input must first be activated. Connect an MP3 player to the AUX socket, then press the Music button on the MyWay, then press it again to get to the 'Music Menu', then scroll until you find the External Device function and press the dial on it to activate the AUX connection.
If the option is not shown, you may need to check your configuration using Diagbox as some options may be incorrectly coded from when you had the RD4 system. I say RD4 and not RD45 as the RD4 was fitted to vehicles built up to 30th October 2011 and they did not support Bluetooth (unless a separate hands free kit was specified as an option).
From the 31st October 2011, they changed to the RD45 unit that supported Bluetooth calls and Audio streaming natively.
The MyWay can play MP3s from an external source via the AUX jack or using an MP3 CD that you can create - you can get a good 100 tracks on an MP3 CD, so that is another option to consider.
As for the microphone, although you may have the factory fitted one built in, the connection is another matter, as depending on original fitment of Head Unit option, it may not be connected or have the correct wiring loom. Others that have done similar upgrades have had to manually wire the microphone connections to the correct pin on the head unit.
The microphone may need you to manually connect it to the Mic earth (pin 3 of 'Part B' wiring block) and the Mic input to pin 9 of the same block.

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
Thanks for your answer mate!
Ok so,
I coded my VIN with Lexia to solve the annoying "Beep"
My DS3 is from 2011 and the native radio is the RD45 because i can use bluetooth streaming..
When i plugged the RNEG in actually there was the AUX option which i could check and uncheck, however i tried checking it, plug the jack near the lighter, and from my mobile reproduce music, however there was no sound.. On FM it works normally.
So i guess I need to change some pins on the quadlock in order to ativate AUX on RNEG right? Probably not the same pins that the RD45 uses?
My idea was activating the aux from the jack, and plug there a bluetooth streaming device, then connect the phone to that bluetooth streaming device. And that would give me bluetooth streaming audio
Because im connecting to an external bluetooth device and not radio. Right?
Also there is this kit on ebay which the seller does say it supports my radio.. Same method though! External bluetooth dongle...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Freisprechei ... 1438.l2649
As for the microphone! I only need then to connect on Earth Pin 3 and Positive Pin 9? And that would make the standard microphone just work?
Where are they connected on the RD45?

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
On the RNEG (MyWay) using the same diagram from my previous post:
Part "B": 12-way connector
The Aux Right is on Pin 4
The Aux Left is on Pin 10
Edit: Removed RD45 image (different model).

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
OK Thanks a lot man i was checking on another website and it showed different pins.
So bottom line in order to get AUX:
Replace PIN 1 ---> PIN 4
PIN 7 ---> PIN 10
And AUX (JACK) Should work?
What about the GND cables? Nothing to change? Just change those 2 cables?

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
Hi
The AUX connection is a simple left and right audio channel, so bear in mind that there won't be any fancy controls or track skipping / forwarding / rewinding from the steering wheel controls - only the volume.
This is a basic AUX audio in connection. Other systems have the left and right channels and a separate video-in channel, like the NG4, so that you can hook up a camcorder / external DVD player / camera / games console etc.
So the only way you are going to get more functionality is to use something like an FM transmitter unit or another device - but remember there is no native way to stream bluetooth to the MyWay, regardless of device used.
The FM units can hook up to your smartphone and transmit music to your MyWay via a specific FM frequency, but control has to be made from the smartphone - or in some cases these transmitter devices may have their own remote.

Yes im aware its a simple connection.
But what about the possibility that i told you above?
Bluetooth JACK transmitter plugged on jack port, and connect the phone on the bluetooth transmitter?
I know a guy who is using it like that.. No cables at sight

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
I wouldn't waste that sort of money on that Vocomo unit £140!! It's not doing anything different than this for £18.99:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Upgraded-Lands ... cs&sr=1-12
Video here:
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com ... iWN1tS.mp4
Basically pair phone to transmitter via bluetooth, tune radio to FM frequency of transmitter and that's it!
All that Vovomo wiring harness and for what? If you read the small print it can only do what I said originally a few posts back - control the volume....
Everything else has to be done on the phone as there is no connection between the vehicle and the phone that can control tracks.
The Nulaxy unit also has to control the phone by using it's own screen interface, but would seem a lot easier than that Vovomo unit from what I can see.

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
The vocomo unit was only and example, its almost the same price as i gave for the complete radio set lol
Ill try and other that FM transmitter and connect it to 12v and hide it somewhere on the glovebox or something so it looks cleaner
Can you give me an answer on this?
So the original RD45 already has a 9 PIN cable on B part quadlock for the + microphone right?
I need only to plug a earth cable on the PIN 3 right?
Aux only replace the location of those 2 cables that we spoken above
I saw also to remove either pin 3 or 6 (earth cables) on the screen brown connector too to avoid the image flipping upside down too
Also this process here is needed?

This is the RD45 quad block wiring on a DS3 with RD45:
Normally you would get the wiring connection cables between the screen to the head unit when purchasing.

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
Ok so for what I see
The microphone is already connected on Pin 3 and 9 so I don't need to change anything for the RNEG??
Also AUX you said that on RD45 it's Pin 1 and 7
They show above not connected..
It shows 4 and 10 PIN..
Or do I need to move the Following?
PIN 4 ----》 PIN 1
PIN 10 ---》 PIN 7
Am I confusing anything?

I've think I put up an RD45 from a Peugeot unit - and can see that the pin outs are different on that version, so have removed that image now in my previous post.
The diagram in my post above is correct for a DS3 with RD45.
Below is the complete Pin out for MyWay on a DS3, so now you have both:

Re: RNEG Doubts!!! Help pls
Have you correctly configured the Head Unit using Diagbox? There are certain options that need setting if you are fitting a telematics unit (apart from VIN coding) or you will get issues and it won't operate.
Also as you would have changed the mutifunction display, that also may likely need configuring properly if you have not already done this.

Yes all is activated.
I checked now my lriginal radio is rd4 not rd45.
But it has bt streaming.
AUX does not work and the pins seem the same as rneg. Also the microphone cables are missing on my quadlock
