Following on I did discover that there was a U75 in WW2 described here:

"German submarine U-75 was a Type VIIB U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine during World War II. U-75 was moderately successful in her early career in the Battle of the Atlantic, but in autumn 1941 she was dispatched to the Mediterranean Sea with poor results, leading to the eventual destruction of the boat and her crew."

Given that I now know she was a Type VIIB it was not to difficult to cultivate a picture of how she would have looked:

And following your submarine, Mick, seems only right to post this one more time.
Seems apt for today...

Could you use that light to assemble your 75 Gallon Aquarium?
BFTW
BFTW
When looking for a 75 gallon aquarium the dimensions are important to know as this is not a small tank and space and weight will feature in the decision of what tank you require. At this size tanks can take on all sorts of shapes and sizes but if you were considering a rectangular tank then roughly the dimensions would be 18" x 48" x 21". When considering weight, whether you go for a glass or acrylic tank will be a consideration. Also, don't forget the weight of the water. 1 litre of water weighs 2.2lbs so for a tank of this size you are looking at around 626lbs just for the water. The weight of the tank, filters, fish, gravel and ornaments will need to be added on.

Another road but a different A75. "La Meridienne" runs from Clermont-Ferrand all the way down to Beziers in the Mediterranean. We use it for some 34 miles as far as Lempdes-sur-Allagnon when we strike off for the Rhone Valley.

A lovely road and free of charge for most of its length.

As we reach the halfway to target point, and just to remind us that we are meant to be a car forum (despite our 24 hour hijack :-D ) time for another car picture:

"The Alfa Romeo 75 (Tipo 161, 162B), sold in North America as the Milano, is a compact executive car produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo between 1985 and 1992. The Alfa 75 was commercially quite successful: in only three years, 236,907 cars were produced,[3] and by the end of production in 1992, around 386,767 had been built.[4]

The Alfa Romeo 75 was the last model released before Alfa Romeo was acquired by Fiat. (The Alfa Romeo 164 was the last model developed independently.)"

360 Model 75computer - IBM
360 Model 75computer - IBM
"The IBM System/360 Model 75 is a discontinued high end/high performance system that was introduced on April 22, 1965. Although it played many roles in IBM's System/360 lineup, it accounted for a small fraction of a percent of the 360 systems sold. Five Model 75 computers housed at NASA's Real Time Computer Complex were used during the Apollo program.
The high performance of the Model 75 was attributed to half a dozen advanced features, including Parallel arithmetic, Overlapped memory fetch, and Parallel addition for address calculation.
Furthermore, independent storage sections provided two-way (H75) or four-way (I75, J75) interleaving of memory access. Even with only two-way interleaving, "an effective sequential access rate of 400 nanoseconds per double word (eight bytes) is possible"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_System/360_Model_75

"The Model 75 was an outgrowth of IBM's continuing engineering development effort to enhance the capabilities of the original System/360 offerings. Its main memory operated at 750 nanoseconds and was available in three sizes up to 1,048,576 characters of information. The memory was interleaved up to four ways to obtain increased performance."

The map of bus route 75 reminded me that the OS Landranger Map series has a sheet 75. It is the area around Berwick-upon-Tweed:

So where is it......roughly...? On the A40 1.5 miles East of St Clears and with Newchurch the name of the Box.

From the sales particulars of a property described as Newchurch St Clears

DIRECTIONS: - From Carmarthen take the A40 dual carriageway west for St Clears/Tenby passing the turnings for Llanllwch, Meidrim, Bancyfelin and Llangynog and just before the Shell Petrol Filling Station/Forge Restaurant and St Michael’s Church turn left signposted Llansteffan/Llanybri. Continue for approximately 100 yds and the property is the SECOND PROPERTY on the left hand side.

So in true Jim Bowen "lets see what you would have won" Bullseye fashion this is where box 75 would have been!

Having posted a map it is an obvious step to jump to a map of Interstate 75 in the USA:
BFTW
BFTW
"Interstate 75 (I-75) is a major north–south Interstate Highway in the Great Lakes and Southeastern regions of the United States. As with most Interstates that end in a five, it is a major cross-country, north–south route, one of the longest in the U.S., from southern Florida to the easternmost point of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It travels from State Road 826 (SR 826, Palmetto Expressway) and SR 924 (Gratigny Parkway) on the Hialeah–Miami Lakes border (northwest of Miami, Florida) to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, at the Canadian border."
