Re: Picture(s) of the day....
This is part pic of the day / part whatsthisthen. I took this on Sunday on a local bike ride:
It's reasonably close to where I live, and there is some info at the bottom about it which makes for interesting reading - it has a 'first' claim to fame! Anyone work out where / what it is, and its claim to fame?
I rode my bike down the bank on the left of the pipes, which was, er, interesting, as it's rather steep, and covered in beech nut shells, which makes it verrrry slippy

To be fair Richard since your location is shown as United Kingdom, "close to where I live" is not much of a clue Perhaps you could narrow that down a bit?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Part of the old distribution network from Glenmavis LNG storage centre?
Or maybe part of the newer branch to the ethylene pipeline distribution owned by Shell which supplements the original one I worked on in the 1980'sjointly owned by BP and ICI?

I think that Neil may have written about this a while back.

The best I could do for a river swathed in mist...
This is the Great Ouse just outside Paggers at 06:10 this morning taken during my walk...
