Utter Junk is correct in my experience of dealing with these remotes here and elsewhere and in the context of my post.

Outside of Remote fobs, of the 10 or so Chinese products I have ordered and used in the last 12 months from market place sellers on Amazon and ebay, not a single one is operating, so I speak as I find.

Could you use the circuit board from a second hand key? The reason I ask is that some scrap yards will sell you a complete key for a few quid (I paid £5 for one for my previous C5, as the button membrane on my old key was knackered). If you could use a second hand key the circuit board ought to be of manufacturer quality.

I am aware of the possible immobiliser chip issue (not being able to pair a used chip to a different car), hence my asking.

Here is chip which I have issues.
Considering an original Peugeot 307 2 button plip is £130 UK and a 3 button one £140, you really have to ask yourself whether a £4 copy is going to compare.

And the answer could be yes going by my experience.

So I have just purchased a key shell for a Picasso for the grand sum of £5. Nothing wrong with the fob electronics, but the fob suffers from the notorious rubber button dome coming away.

So after transplanting everything over what is the verdict:

1) The slot for the immobiliser chip is too big, so it comes out easily and could get lost - or one day may just come out inside the fob.
2) The Key blade is a push-in and pull-out type - pulling it out of the original was a mammoth task as I'd expect it to be well secured. Pushing it into the cheap copy took hardly any effort - how long that will last after a few turns of the ignition is anyone's guess.
3) The whole thing just feels flimsy and cheap - but am I complaining - no - it's better than having sellotape holding the old one together and it will do fine until it is sold. Like I said, cheap and don't expect it to last. But would I buy a £5 fob with electrics - no way.

Is it maybe possible to program used circuit board from another 307 vehicle?

If the board has the one-shot ID46 immobiliser chip soldered in - no. Early cars (such as our 2001 Xsara and 2003 C5) have the chip as a discrete item and replacing this with a new one will work. Both our 20013 X7 and 2015 308 have the later type and it's necessary to change the complete board - in practice the complete key fob.

You have a 307 Restyled with the 2 button fob and this is the later style with the transponder chip on the circuit board, so no. The one I was replacing was the earlier one used on the Xsara Picasso that has a separate transponder chip independent of the circuit board.

I have mused about whether it might be possible to disable the soldered in ID46 chip on a board and put a discrete ID46 chip somewhere in the casing and then program that. I suppose technically it's possible but then the price of a complete fob from China is so low that you have to wonder whether it's worth it.

I see,but is it possible to program same chip as this but used one which somebody already used on different car

No, the transponder chips cannot be reprogrammed. The older fobs with the loose transponder chips were sold separately on the internet that you could buy and then replace and programme as normal, but the new type are soldered onto the circuit board and usually have windings around them.

GiveMeABreak wrote: 20 Mar 2020, 14:16 I only say that as of all the ones here I've dealt with, most are utter junk and cause no end of grief for people - when they finally get a half decent one it all works - these are not all the same - it needs the correct encryption, the correct circuitry and type of fob - so a lottery for some people.
Today,by accident I have discovered that this new shell with old stock chip eletctric works when I press unlock or lock buttons inside car, around 30cm from car ignition lock?Outside of the car doesnt work like before..Really strange.

Possibly the battery is too weak in the remote to send the signal the distance required or the cheaper fob has some shielding blocking the signal getting through from a longer distance.
